Wall to Wall Pioneers

Posted May 1, 2012 in Work – by sharren

The School of Health Sciences, City University London wanted to mark the launch of its new state-of-the-art Clinical Skills Centre with something interesting, meaningful and permanent.

We worked with them to create floor-to-ceiling wall graphics illustrating the development of medical science and focusing on key points in history and influential figures.

These included four outstanding  pioneers: Ethel Bedford-Fenwick, Edith Cavell, Dr Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and Dora Opoku OBE after whom the Clinical Skill Centre’s laboratories are named - in honour of their enormous contribution to health care and education in London.

The outcome is impressive and inspirational – a fitting tribute to those individuals who had a major impact on modern medical practices.

We also produced a complimentary message board highlighting some of the significant attributes and achievements of the School of Health Sciences.

Turning a “Maybe” into a “Yes”

Posted April 18, 2012 in Work – by sharren

We have just launched a student recruitment initiative for the School of Arts and Social Sciences at City University London.

The Big Decision is aimed at undergraduate students who have received offers but have not yet accepted places.

We acknowledged offer-holders were about to make the biggest decision of their lives and created a campaign that centred around the difficulties of decison-making. By interviewing lecturers from the departments of Economics, Journalism, International Politics, Music, Psychology and Sociology, we were able to shed some light on the ins and outs of making your mind up, and how each subject area has a role to play in the process.

By offering help, advice and practical tools, we were able to present City University as the right choice.

Key elements of the campaign include: an email teaser, a 12 page magazine and a dedicated microsite. We produced all the key components for the material including copywriting, video production, illustration, design and programming.

The campaign was timed to launch just before the Easter holidays, when it was gauged that most offer-holders would be reflecting on their choices prior to the UCAS deadline in May.
